Living Social Sales Representatives File Lawsuit over Overtime Pay

When employees put in overtime hours in a work week, they expect to receive proper overtime pay. Unfortunately, many companies and businesses misclassify their employees as being exempt from overtime pay laws or they just fail to pay them overtime at all. If you or someone you work with has worked more than forty hours in a single work week but failed to receive your overtime pay, then you should speak to a Tennessee overtime pay lawyer right away. They will hear your case and make sure you receive the compensation you deserve for the hours you have worked.

According to this lawsuit, former Living Social sales representatives are filing a lawsuit against the company claiming that the company did not pay its sales employees as hourly employees and give them overtime pay. The plaintiffs are not named in the labor lawsuit but they have worked for Living Social across the United States for the past three years.

In the lawsuit, the former employees claim that the Living Social Company misclassified them as salaried employees who are exempt from overtime pay but they claim they do not fit any of the legal exemptions for the law’s overtime pay regulations. Several employees are a part of this lawsuit including some in Minnesota, Washington D.C. and New York.

Unfortunately cases just like this one occur too often all across the country to hard working people and even to the hard working employees of Tennessee. If you or someone you know has worked overtime hours but has failed to receive proper overtime pay, then we recommend that you contact one of our caring and experienced Tennessee employment and overtime pay attorneys as soon as possible.
